The match begins just past the 58 minute mark.

Any idea who these guys are?  I'm guessing it's 84/85ish.  I know Sullivan, Sheik, Tui, Brody, & that do gooder Lars Anderson.

That's isn't Grizzly Smith, Jake Roberts Dad, is it.   He seems too young to be Griz & Griz was the matchmaker for Watts around this time, I thought.

Who the balls is the Kamala rip off, Price Kamalamala?

Dumb end, but if you like a good blood bath you'll like this.

Kamalama might have been Ben Peacock, who was also Botswana Beast among other aliases.

Peacock did that Kamala knockoff gimmick forever, right through to the ECW days when he was known as Uganda.

Are we absolutely sure that Kamalamala in Hawaii and Ben Peacock are one and the same? The reason I ask is that from the last time I saw footage of Peacock, he was fairly agile and threw a decent dropkick for a man his size. The one in Hawaii was barely mobile and spent most of his matches choking his opponents. I have 1 Kamalamala match where he's managed by an equally obese guy named Col. John Teasdale, who does one of the worst, most unconvincing promos I've ever seen from a heel manager. You can see that promo Teadale in the first video that Ultimate Sin linked starting at 2:38:21.

The Grizzly Smith that worked Hawaii looks like the same guy who played Beartrap Smith in the godawful California Championship Wrestling out of Los Angeles. Smith shows up in this CCW episode at 15:57, if you want to compare the two.

They tried to solve this mystery at Classics a couple of times. The best answer seems to be that Prince Kamalamala is not Ben Peacock, and may be Tony Condello's fake Kamala

In his Botswana Beast days, he got a gig with All Japan. Kamala was getting used by that promotion at the time, so Peacock was billed as Giant Kamala II. Kamala was dropped by All Japan, but Peacock stayed on and retained the Giant Kamala II billing with that group through 2003 and then worked the indy scene in Japan for a while. All Japan kept him on after it stopped using other long term foreign talent like Steve Williams and Johnny Smith, because his gimmick was a good undercard fit.

ECW used him for about a month from mid August to mid September in 1999, just when the promotion got its TNN spot. Heyman must not have wanted to use the Giant Kamala II name and whoever chose the lame Uganda moniker did a poor job. I assume he either didn't like the pay, got shorted or Heyman decided he could not afford to use him, because after that brief ECW run ended, he went on an All Japan tour and never came back.

He wasn't great in the ring, but there have been far worse and he was very light on his feet for having such bulk, even doing dropkicks and some off the top rope moves like sentons. He was short, so I assume that's what prevented him from getting a WWF shot. Even if the gimmick was too much like Kamala, they could have used him as something else in that mid 1990s range. I don't know if he ever even got a tryout.
