Falcons closed due to an outbreak. Let’s see if we can start playing NFL games seven days a week now.

Maybe they’ll finally have to add a week Or two to the end of the season. At a certain point they just won’t be able to rearrange the schedule anymore.

The Pro Bowl isn't happening after this season, so that would make it easier to eliminate the off week between the conference title games and the Super Bowl in order to add a week of makeup games, if necessary. The NFL has occasionally not had that off week, often due to extenuating circumstances.

The first time such a thing occurred was during the strike interrupted 1982 season. The strike hit after week 2 and the NFL did not resume play until what would have been week 10, running through what would have been week 16. Had that been retained as the end of the season, all teams would have played 8 games instead of 16. The NFL killed the off week ahead of the Super Bowl (back then the Pro Bowl was after the Super Bowl) and then moved the rest of the playoffs back one week.

This enabled the NFL to have a 9th week of games. Rather than play a single week in full from the period that was wiped out by the strike, the NFL instead cherrypicked games from across the 8 weeks of strike cancelled games to play in this 9th week of the season. The NFL had this extra week in the name of capturing potentially lost revenue and to ensure that all teams played either 5 home/4 away or 4 home/5 away. Some teams would have had 5 home/3 away or 3 home/5 away if not for the makeup week. All games were played within divisions except for two by necessity due to each conference at the time having 14 teams in two divisions of 5 teams and one of 4 teams.

Bell signs with the Chiefs. Guess he can't play this week vs Buffalo, but should start splitting some carries with CEH against the Broncos

Kinda like Cincy +8

Colts QB Rivers (Philip, not Joan) completely immobile. Can't throw an 'out' pass.

Being down 3 TDs makes the passing stats look better.
