Looks like I"m heading down to Dallas last minute for some Training on Monday for the week. A quick scan of my hotel in Addison finds a Whataburger and an IN N out 1 mile from the hotel. I will pick up from both and them and report back sometime during the week.

I was disappointed in Whataburger during my time in Texas. I don’t ever remember ordering it and being satisfied but every location I went in had a line so with or without me they were doing fine.

Last year my daughter and I flew out to San Diego for a soccer tournament and finally tired In N Out. It was pretty good, nothing mind blowing but a solid burger nonetheless, but I still prefer Five Guys if I had a choice. I’ll go again next time I’m out west.

I've had both before on my different times working down in Dallas. Usually each trip I'll have both, but in most cases it's late night eating, so my standards are pretty low.

Not a chain per se as there are only two or three locations but one of the best burgers I have ever had anywhere was in the Ocean Beach area of San Diego at a place called Hodads. https://hodadies.com/
