I've been rewatching JCP TV shows from 1986 and one of the interesting things I've noticed is that JJ Dillon is portrayed solely as the manager of Tully Blanchard. He showed up only for Tully's matches and wasn't generally in Ole, Arn or Ric's corner for their matches. But by sometime in 87 JJ not only manages all of the Horsemen in their matches but is portrayed as the leader of the Horsemen. Was their some explanation given on TV for this happening or did it just gradually change to the point where JJ was the leader of the Horsemen?

The transition of JJ Dillon from being just Tully Blanchard's manager to managing all of the Four Horsemen occurred after Starrcade '86. Note that JJ was in Greensboro for that card but seconded Tully against Dusty Rhodes but not Ole and Arn Anderson against the Rock & Roll Express. Starting in December, JJ started accompanying the other members to ringside. He definitely was with Arn and then Lex Luger in January once he came in as initially an associate member of the Horsemen although it doesn't look like JJ seconded Ric Flair until deep into 1987.

I believe once the Horsemen were "officially" formed, JJ segued from being just with Tully to being with them all
