During the pandemic, I have been amazed at the amount of money being spent and the loss of revenue for businesses that have had to shut down or had their number of customers limited (such as restaurants) in attempts to slow down coronavirus cases. Even though the United States is already deeply in debt, there seems to be no end to the money such as relief funds being doled out - except to the average citizen who is pleading with Congress to pass relief funding to prevent evictions, foreclosures, etc. When this pandemic is finally over and some government number cruncher tries to tally it all up, what will be the final cost (in $) of the COVID pandemic here in the US?

I think right now the estimate for the U.S. is at 16 trillion dollars. Upwards of 400 billion in Canada but probably higher by the time it all shakes out.
