"Owen Clark" lol. Fascinating, never knew Owen went into an apuesta with the Blue Blazer gimmick. Was that a one-off or did he have a Mexican run beforehand?

Most of the matches were trios of course with the 2 Canadians being on opposing teams. A couple of singles matches with Canek ended his run. That 2 year period was prolific for Owen as he was appearing in WCW and doing non-stop touring of Japan, Mexico, and Germany, leading to many unique matches. He forms a new RnR Express with Ricky Morton that lasts 5 seconds and reunites with Pillman as a team in WCW, wrestles Fit Finlay in 3 different countries, has classics with Liger and 2 Cold Scorpio, works with the Villanos, even battles heavyweights like Chono and Choshu. He’s even brought to Philly for a show or two with the early ECW crew (a show with Eddie Gilbert, Cactus Jack, JT Smith, Mr. Sandman). I guess Stampede was completely dead at this time and nothing else was going on in Canada, so Owen was just everywhere. This period was sandwiched between his WWF runs as the Blazer and returning as part of the New Foundation with Neidhart. It might have been the height of his work. Jeez, can the ref count any slower? I thought he was favoring Canek until he used the same slow count when Canek pinned Owen.
