One of the people charged in the riot at the U.S. Capitol last week went viral again Monday after news of his first court appearance hit the web — with the internet latching on to one dietary detail in particular. Jacob Chansley, 33, also known as Jake Angeli, was one of the people photographed extensively at the riot. He wore a fur hat with horns and painted his face with the colors of the American flag. NBC News has reported Chansley is QAnon-supporting YouTuber who also was among the pro-Trump protesters who gathered outside the Maricopa County Elections Department in Phoenix on Nov. 5, claiming that the election was stolen. Monday, Arizona ABC station KNXV reported, he made his first appearance in a Phoenix federal courtroom via telephone, as he’s being held in quarantine. In a now-viral tweet, reporter Melissa Blasius said his mother “says he hasn’t eaten since Friday because the detention facility won’t feed him all organic food.” Jacob Chansley, AKA Jake Angeli, Arizona man makes first court appearance in for charges related to storming the U.S. Capitol. KNXV reported that Chansley’s public defender told the judge he is on “an extremely restrictive diet, perhaps for religious reasons, and had not eaten since he was taken into custody,” and the judge ordered the defender to work with the U.S. Marshal’s Office on the dietary concerns. David Gonzales, U.S. Marshal for the District of Arizona, told the outlet on Monday night that they will abide by the judge’s order and plan to give Chansley food in line with a shaman's strict organic diet. NBC affiliate KPNX reported that Chansley's mother, Martha Chansley, said he only eats organic food or he gets ill. In an interview with KNXV last week, Martha Chansley said he’s one of the “gentlest people I know.” “It takes a lot of courage to be a patriot and to stand up for what it is you believe and you know to be right, she told the news station. “And not everybody wants to be the person up front, right?” The Department of Justice said Saturday Chansley is charged with knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority, and with violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds. He's due back in court on Friday afternoon. "What I was doing was civil disobedience," Chansley told NBC News. "I didn't do anything wrong. ... I walked through an open door, dude." As of Monday morning, D.C. Metro Police said there have been around 80 people arrested in connection with the riots at the U.S. Capitol Building.

I love the stupid bitch that says "imagine thinking your white privilege extends so far as to trash the Capitol & then demand organic food in prison". No, you stupid bitch - it's not white privilege. It's a guy that's trying to be a giant pain in the ass to make things so difficult for the prison system that he could get let out and serve house arrest until his trial. I am so fucking sick of people saying "white privilege" for EVERYTHING. It's like somebody taught them a new word and they need to put it in every fucking sentence they spew.

Jacob Anthony Chansley, the shirtless, horned, conspiracy theory-touting U.S. Capitol rioter receiving an organic diet while in jail — now wants a pardon from President Donald Trump. Defense attorney Albert Watkins told CNN’s Chris Cuomo on Thursday that clemency would be the only “honorable” thing after the president’s rhetoric whipped his supporters into a frenzy that sparked last week’s bloody Capitol riot. Trump, he added, “has an obligation” to dish out pardons. Watkins said Chansley — also known as Jake Angeli and the QAnon shaman — hung “on every word” of the president and felt “very, very, very solidly in sync” with him. It was “like his voice was for the first time being heard,” the lawyer added. Chansley, 33, of Phoenix, “loved” Trump and “felt like he was answering the call of our president,” Watkins said. He was in Washington “at the invitation of our president, who was going to walk down Pennsylvania Avenue with him,” he added. Trump told his supporters at the pre-riot rally that he would accompany them to the Capitol, but went back to the White House to watch the insurrection on TV instead. Watkins acknowledged it was a long-shot attempt at clearing his client’s name. But “with Trump you never know,” he added. “Who knows next time he may be represented by the Shaman rather than Rudy Giuliani?” Chansley, who was quickly identified from photos showing him inside the Capitol in his distinctive outfit, was taken into custody over the weekend. He denies committing a crime.

I don't give a fuck what the "case" is against him. He's gone next week at this time, probably cucking all the way out the door. There will still be tens of millions of us who are pretty proud about what happened last week and are ready for the next step. And there's lot of us who think Rudy, Sidney, Lin, Q, and whoever else you want to throw out there, are nothing more than distractions. The genie's not going back in the bottle.
