When and why? I assume they'll wait until at least January 21st, 2023 so that Harris would be eligible to run for reelection twice, but who knows if Biden can cling to his faculties that long? What will be the reason and when will it occur? Personally, I think they'll keep him so carefully wrapped up that it won't come because of a stroke, or Coronadoom, or a broken hip, or anything like that. I think Biden will publicly give up the reins by proclaiming that his general health precludes him from executing the office to the best of his abilities, and therefore, for the good of America, he's handing over power to Harris. The possibility always exists that he'll get the pillow treatment, but they'll want to give Harris as much legitimacy as they can muster. So I say it's a resignation in the second half of his term.

I mean he is 78yrs old and being president tends to age people fast... i mean it isn't a stretch for something to happen to his healthy.... I still believe after 64yrs old you shouldn't be running for the presidency at all

Coming from someone who hates Trump as much as anyone, for a major media outlet to act like they have today is unconscionable and as bad as anything Fox News has ever produced. Fox News’ nighttime editorial infotainment shows are a farce, but during the election and insurrection I watched a lot of Fox and their legit news people were playing it fairly straight. Today CNN’s “legit” news people embarrassed themselves and proved Trump right about everything he ever said about them. I know I just made KGB cream his pants but I call it as I see it and never have a rooting interest. Let's hope that it's the unbridled sense of relief that Turmp is out that fueled their coverage today being so over the top, and they regress back to a more even level of reporting (as even as they can be, I suppose...). Otherwise, they have become what Fox news was for Trump, and nobody needs any more of that crap.
