They were probably more likely ‘memorabilia conventions’ with guys there trying to make a buck signing autographs. Haven’t seen one in forever.

I have a friend that runs Big Event NY. They still do signings, maybe not full conventions at the moment, they're scaled down because of COVID.

I think the whole "memorabilia" market is exploding right now with 90s and 80s nostalgia. Actions figures, wrestling magazines and programs, and the aforementioned autographs. Before COVID, it was probably hotter than ever, and it will come back I'm sure.

We had a toy show here in Hickory NC 3 weeks ago I went to, Arn Anderson, Nikita Koloff and Heath Slater were all there signing...the toy show they had in October Sgt Slaughter was there signing...

My son was just looking for newer wrestling action figures but the store had some interesting older ones with the most interesting being a remco freebirds 3 pack.
