We jumped into the new season but the rules for 'Survivor Last Man Standing' Baseball can be tricky. It works like Survivor Football, you pick the team that you know will win. If they win that game you advance to the next day (round) until someone wins the round. Baseball can be more complex because it poses some different scenarios. Here's how they are handled. 1- COVID/Rainouts - if the game is cancelled, your team didn't win, you're out. 2- Double Headers. Specific which game you want which team for. If not, you're on the hook for both games of a double-header 3- Suspended games. You're out of luck here also. For you to win, they must credit your team with a W in the standings.

For the COVID / Rainouts / Suspended games, are you allowed to pick another team for the same day as long as you get in before that game's start time? For example, I place my pick for the Orioles in the morning. The game is to start at 1 pm but is cancelled due to COVID. At 5 pm, I see that the Orioles game was cancelled and I pick the Dodgers game which starts at 10 pm. Is my Dodgers pick allowed since I got it in before its 10 pm start time? Or am I eliminated because I originally picked the Orioles game which was cancelled?

I'll let Beej answer since he's the official scorekeeper and commissioner, however I *think* it's ok if you change your pitch as long as you get in before first pitch. We've played that way before whenever there's a rainout announced early in the day. Just want to way say, I enjoy all of the Pick Em contests, but baseball has to be the hardest one to win. Any team can beat any other team on any given day, even when a bad team faces an ace pitcher. There is definitely some thought that needs to go into it, but it's a lot more challenging than picking Vegas as the home team to beat the Sabres. Kudos to khawk for winning two years in a row.
