Cornette was talking about it (actually someone asked him about it) but it's an interesting name to consider. From 1987 to 2000 he pretty much was a top attraction in the 'sport'. WCW Champ, US champ. Top of the card guy. WWF also to be honest. So - what say you? Would you 'put him in'?

He belongs in the WWE Hall of Fame a lot more than Brickhouse Brown, who really never worked there, and Buzz Sawyer, who drugged his way out of NY in '84. Hell, he belongs in as a headliner almost. Still can't believe Vince didn't put the belt on him after the whole Lex Express deal.

Luger is in a wheelchair now. I can see Vince not liking the optics of Luger being so frail today. A video package of Luger of how he looked in his wrestling days and then we see what he looks like today. Would probably shock anyone who hasn't seen his physical decline over the years. He deserves to be in, though. Not even a difficult choice. The death of Elizabeth will always hang over him, though. WWE does use Luger for documentary interviews and he looks like shit, but they never show that he’s in a wheelchair. That wouldn’t put smiles on faces. But these questions are silly given who’s already in. You can make a case for anyone at this point. Steve Lombardi and Barry Horowitz absolutely should go in if Pez Whatley is there.

Yeah he’s a definite Hall of Fame guy. He could actually work when motivated and with the right opponent, he drew money, he was built like a brick shithouse, and was on top or near the top from the late 80s through the 90s boom period.

I assumed he was in already. I don't really pay attention to who is in and who isn't, but if you asked me if Luger was in, I would have said of course he is, how could he not be

Maybe Luger has been offered before and said no. Luger would have to be inducted by Sting. They are almost exactly the same age, and Sting looks great for 62 (although the face paint helps). If I was Luger, I wouldn't want to be wheeled out after Sting gave a speech about me. But I agree that inducting him via video this year would have covered all the issues.
