You just know he is going to cost the team. They come up small in big games. Poor strategy. He adds an "L" to the loss column as he goes along snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. He should have been fired long ago and you can't figure out why.

Marinelli. One game. The Lions couldn't win ONE game.
Is one game too much to ask for ?

I'm surprised there isn't any support for Scott Linehan. I think the Rams as a team laid down to get him out the door. I mean they were getting smoked early and hard and would give the appearance of having given up before halftime.

not his fault.  blame matt millen and his scouts for getting him garbage players and poor drafts over the past 10 years.

Wade Phillips. I would vote for Marinelli but he at least had his team competitive for most games.

Wade Phillips. I'm still pissed at what he did to Doug Flutie.

Scott Linehan. What did he do to get that job anyway? Plus, he was the most non-descript coach ever. Most people probably had no idea he coached the Rams until he was canned this year. Add to that, the Rams actually had some talent unlike the Lions.

You probably figured I'd say Jauron, but Linehan was so mind-boggling.

Spot on.  Every year the Lions are shitty, and the guys Millen drafted can't break the starting line up.  It would be one thing if they were a good team with talent, and guys were waiting or battling for starting jobs.  Marinelli didn't do much to develop the guys either,  but I'd vite for a coach who had talent and squandered it.

I love him, but Jim Leland has got to be up there.  He was given "The greatest line-up in the history of baseball" and finished in last place.

Thomas actually is far, far worse than Marinelli, Thomas both built and coached the worst team in his sport, all while having the league's highest payroll AND getting his employer hit for a huge sexual harassment judgment.

If Thomas was actually employed during 2008, I may have to change my vote.
