Looking through AndyO's mothly results on the Old School Match results section Kayfabe Memories. I noticed an Ike Hansen wrestling in the Vancouver in late 1967 7 early 1968. Ike Hansen was later, and better known, as Eric the Red. I also noticed an Eric the Red in AWA, mostly at Minneapolis television tapings. Was this Eric the Red Ike Hansen or someone else? Also, if it wasn't him, did Ike Hansen(Eric the Red) ever compete in AWA proper?

Good questions. Let's take them one at a time.

Enhancement Talent Eric The Red appeared on and off on AWA TV Tapings until late 1969.

11/29/69 Minneapolis TV
Red Bastien beat Eric the Red
Dr. X beat Bill Howard
Hard Boiled Haggerty beat Ox Baker
Mad Dog Vachon beat Buddy Smith

Whether this wrestler is Ike Hansen is something I can't answer. I'm sure one of the older AWA fans will though. I'll ask about him on a private AWA board.

There aren't any Eric The Red AWA listings during the 70s. So we are back to the first question.

As far as you can tell Claw when did this Eric The Red begin appearing on AWA TV?

Also do he wrestle at any of the house shows in and around the Twin Cities?

On KM, The Authority George Schire gave the answer I think so when I asked if Eric The Red in the AWA was indeed Eric The Red Hansen. I'll count Schire's answer as a probably.

The thing that confuses me is that you have 1960/61 matches for Eric The Red in Stampede and later on Ike Hansen matches in March 1968. That wouldn't make too much sense if it were the same person
