They have this new campaign where they tell people they no longer carry the Whopper and have hidden cameras capture the reactions.  Is it just me or do these commercials make anyone else hope the terrorists win?

Ah - it's not just in the States. About 5 or 6 years ago I was in a local KFC picking up some chicken to take home. The guy in front of me ordered something that had recently been available for a limited time but the promotion had already ended. This guy was pretty upset and did not understand why he could not order the item that he wanted. Finally he yelled out that he would not leave the store until he could talk to " the f*cking Colonel ". This guy was not drunk or high ( at least that I could tell ) but he was very serious - he wanted to talk to the main man at KFC. The guy taking the orders was trying his best to remain composed but you could hear the kitchen staff laughing their heads off in the back. I grabbed my order and left but I have wondered just how that actually played out.

The commercials remind me of "Ready To Rumble".  It's directed at a certain group but makes that group look like the lowest forms of life ever.

I think those commercials are definitely about driving traffic to whatever website (whopperfreak.com whopper-freakout.com / whatever) they promo during the commercial. Dumb, dumb, dumb. They should play a Bud Light "DUDE" commercial in it's place.

That Bud Light commercial is a direct take on Rob Schneider's old "Dude" routine that Steeler Jeff has.

If we don't allow giant corporate conglomerates the liberty to make jackasses of themselves routinely in nationally viewed ad campaigns, then the terrorists have already won.
