Papa Voo's idea.

Just wonderin'.

What would be your holy grail for the WWWF's 70's footage?

I would like to hear anybody's feedback on this.

You NWA and AWA bastards stay out of this and let us WWWFers get all jazzed up about stuff we want to see (but probably never will) unless of course you want to add to the WWWF geek's party.

Put me down for The Executioners vs Strongbow & Whitewolf (third Executioner under the ring) as a starting point.

I'd love to see some of the Texas Death matches or the matches that were stopped due to both men being too bloody between Bruno and Duncum.

I'd like to see if my suspicion that Bruno vs. Pedro at Shea, 1972, was a giant armbar-fest.

Bruno/Hansen from Shea, 1976.

Backlund vs.  Maivia at MSG

Backlund vs. Patera from May 1978

Andre the Giant & Ivan Putski vs Luke & Superstar Billy Graham, June 1978, MSG.

I'd love to see Andre and SSBG square off and I think this is likely to be the only footage of the two existing.

Second vote goes to Bruiser Brody vs Bruno Sammartino.

I will repost my selections from the other thread

Tony Garea and Dean Ho beat Tanaka and Fuji for the tag titles on TV  11/14/1973

Valiants beat Ho and Garea on TV  5/8/1974

DeNucci and Rivera beat the Valiants for the titles in a bloody brawl on TV 5/13/1975

DeNucci and Rivera vs Blackjacks bloodbath TV brawl June 1975? right before Rivera left

infamous "third" Executioner match vs. Strongbow and Whitewolf   TV 11/26/1976

Strongbow and Whitewolf beat Volkoff-Kamata and then the Executioners in a one-day TV tournament   12/7/1976

also any of the three Sammartino-Patera MSG title matches from early 1977 and any of the three Backlund-Maivia MSG title matches from late 1978

that would "begin" to satisy me :D

The Backlund title win over Graham.  I have seen most of that match now, but I would also like to see the entire card.  From what i see, that card was stacked.

The rematch and the Steel cage match of Backlund/Graham

The Sammartino/Patera series and the Sammartino/Hansen cage match at MSG

Hansen's demolition of Ivan Putski at MSG

The Backlund/Maivia trilogy at MSG

Morales/Johnathan series at MSG

The other two Shea cards.

The MSG card headlined by the Backlund/Murraco broadway and the Andre/Khan Texas death match. (I believe 8/81)

The Texas Death Bullrope Cage match between Ric Flair and Pete Sanchez.  I heard it was brutal.

Backlund vs. Crusher Blackwell (Philly 1978)

Any Backlund-Maivia from MSG

Andre vs. Killer Khan (MSG July 1981) (Andre chokes Khan for 10 minutes and dressing room empties to try to pull him off- led to stretcher match)

Backlund- Bulldog Brower (1979 MSG)

Superstar Graham- Mascaras (Jan 1978- last MSG defense before losing)

Arion turns on Bruno

Backlund- Adonis (NY streetfight- MSG Feb. 1982)

(tacked on a few early 80's from Backlund era)

Also, if allowed, Backlund-Bockwinkel from 79 at Maple Leaf Gardens.

Was one the matches put on TV before?  I thought I remember seeing a clip of this.

Arion stuffing Strongbows headdress down the Chiefs throat

TV match where Blassie was supposed to wrestle Morales for the title. Fred comes into the ring with his arm in a sling. Of course when Pedro turns his back Blassie beats the shit out of him.

Morales vs. Ray Stevens at MSG

Morales vs. Spoiler at MSG

Sammartino vs. Stevens at Boston Garden

Sammartino vs. Morales - no one seems to know a damn thing about this match except of course the fact that they demonstrated 264 ways to apply an armbar.

Supposedly broadcast that night on PRISM but I have never seen this.

Put me down for some Blackjacks footage and how about one of those interviews where the silver coins come rolling out of Stan Hansen's loaded elbowpad.
