Hey

I was wondering if anyone that has been doing research in the last year has found any new Hogan information from when he wrestled in AWA, in Florida in 77 as Super Destroyer, or in Georgia in 79 as Sterling Golden.  Any info is much appreciated.

Thanks

RVK the best guy to ask for that 77 & 79 stuff is not online at the moment. I can PM you his home address if you don't already have it.

What Georgia cities do you have for 1979?

I can't promise any immediate research but if you're missing Macon and/or Columbus, it would cause your stuff to move up on the priority chain. Macon and Columbus are fairly easy to look up.

I am looking for info from Columbus, Macon, Carrollton and Griffin for the major cities.

I also have some dates for some spot shows that I am looking for.

The cities I am done looking at are Augusta, Marietta, and Atlanta.

I would appreciate any help at any time.

Thanks

Give me your spot show dates. The library I go to pretty much has every single Georgia newspaper on microfilm.

RVK is working on the 1977 yearbook to put out and another one also.  I have some stuff for him that he wants from my collection of clippings for that year.  I will be meeting up with RVK in person coming up and ewxchanging some stuff, and we will be doing some research together.  I will be knocking out 9 months out of 1984 for him, and giving him all I research for that year while I am staying at his place.  Right now he is putting together i think two year books to be released very soon.

Thanks for the info Ron.  Clawmaster sent me a PM with RVK's info.  I am going to get in touch with him to see what cards he has from his research.  The new books from RVK should be cool.

for 1977 he has evertthing already.  We could only find a few dates that wrstling was possibly held elsewhere.  Less than 10 dates in my mind were outstanding for a possibility of a city holding a card. (as in spot cities)

Do you have this one?

November 15, 1979 Rome, GA (Memorial Gym)
Masked Superstar vs. Ray Candy
Killer Karl Kox vs. Stan Hansen
Jacques Goulet vs. Gerald Finley
Sterling Golden vs. Ricky Fields
Chris Markoff vs. Marvin Turner

Georgia Wrestling History has taken down its card listings for now and I don't know how much Rome info is known.

Yes I had that he wrestle in a battle royal on that day, but not who was in the Battle Royal.  It cool to see that Hogan had been on the same ring with Bobo Brazil and Haystack Calhoun.
