Musically, the only person I can think of whose funeral would even be a fraction as gaudy and over-the-top as MJ's is Madonna.  However, whereas MJ had dozens of speakers boo hooing over him, I don't think Madonna could find even two people to say nice things about her.

Thank God this shit is finally over.

Unfortunately, it will never be over.

I hope Doprah doesn't.

Oh man, how did we all forget about Doprah?  Hers will be completely out of control as well.  When she finally eats it, people will be coming out of the woodwork saying she developed the cure for polio.

With AL Sharpton and Jesse Jackson leading the charge.

This is the problem with celebrity deaths. You can't wish they would just die already.

I guess it could've been worse for MJ. He could've ended up a corpsicle like Ted Williams and then have his head break off in a walk-in cooler.

I don't think so. Don't forget, Gretzky hasn't really been in the country in 20 years.

Remember when Rocket Richard died? That was a pretty big deal, in Montreal.

you're right, I watched it today at work and she was the ONLY one that seemed genuinely broken up over it...her and Usher, he broke down a bit while singing, the rest of them spent more time trying to conceal their hardons from just being up there and in the spotlight...

Is it too cynical of me to think that they might've brought out his daughter like that (for essentially her first ever public appearance without a mask or veil) to shut up the "but he may have molested some kids" camp?

That and it just gave the rest of the Jackson clan another chance to show just how much they will miss their meal tic.......I mean their brother. It was a bit creepy the way they all hovered over the kid as if they really cared.

Johnny Cash had an impressive funeral, but not on tv like this one.
