...against Tampa Bay.

Nice Job!

He actually fell behind the 1st 2 hitters of the 9th inning 3-1 and the first guy flied out to deep center and the next guy struck out on the next 2 pitches.

Wow.  That's impressive, especially considering the type of hitting team that TB is.  Doesn't he already have a no hitter on his resume?

EDIT:  To answer my own question, yes he does have one, pitched in 2007.  He's now one of 25 players in MLB history with more than one no-no.

And best of all?  He did it to Tampa Bay!

Congratulations to Buehrle. Fellow poster Gil Wilcox was after me to go to the game with him but as usual, I screwed up.

Gil went and got to see baseball history.

I got to see the 9th Inning on the MLB Network. Great catch by the Centerfielder in the 9th. He save everything, The Perfect game, No Hitter and Shutout all in one play.

I had him last year in my S&W championship team.  The year before that, I played the team that had him when he threw the no hitter!:X
He's a really good pitcher who just fucking knows how to pitch.  Kind of like a Catfish Hunter or David Cone later in his career (no speed, just an assortment of shit) and he's proven to be a winner time and time again. He's one of my favorites simply for that reason and I'm happy for him.
