There's a Spectrum show from early 85 (February?) where there were so many no-shows, that AJ Petruzzi and Dave Barbie won matches.

I saw a house show main evented by RVD vs. Test. Undertaker cancelled. Maybe not the worst ever, but it was rotten.

When I was a kid, the WWF did a show at my High School (which was about five minutes from where they filmed TNT and all the promos...and less than a mile from what is currently Titan Tower) that included Sgt Slaughter, Paul Orndorff, Rocky Johnson, Greg Valentine, and Tito Santana (I think)...with that said, considering it was about the same time as this Lyndenhurst show, how the hell can they put on any shit like that???  I mean, Dr D was a big deal in '84, and so was Paduski (as the Body used to call him), but the rest of that shit wasn't worth a $5 ticket.  By the way, my High School gym held about 400 people, and it was only $8 to get in back in '84.  I wish I still had that ticket.  I was just in Middle School then, and my brother took me.  I had exactly $2 to spend, and a black and white promo picture was $2.50, and my brother didn't have the .50 to cover me...we ended up buying hot dogs and sodas instead.  That was my first show and while I can't remember much other than being one of maybe five people cheering for Mr Wonderful, it was awesome.
