The Commercial Appeal in Memphis is reporting that domestic assault charges against Jerry Lawler and his fiancee Lauryn McBride, stemming from a June incident where police went to Lawler's home after McBride called 911 and hung up before speaking, have been dropped. Police could not determine the agressor in the incident so both were arrested. Lawler was then suspended by WWE. Ted Hansom, Lawler's attorney, said it was "a big misunderstanding and won't happen again. We are happy with the outcome." The charges will be expunged from their records.

ith domestic abuse charges against WWE Hall of Famer and Smackdown announcer Jerry Lawler dropped, PWInsider.com reached out to WWE regarding his status with the company. WWE issued the following statement: "Jerry Lawler’s legal matter has been resolved and his suspension has been lifted, effective immediately.” So, expect Lawler back on the air this week.
