AEW notes from PWInsider: The AEW title belt was turned into Tallahassee Police today by someone who claimed they found the belt, inside its carrying case, on the side of the road. You have to give AEW credit in that the second it became a big talking point on social media, they turned it into an angle or sorts and got some attention with their Jericho promo. There have been no arrests made in the case, which is still considered open. WarnerMedia is bringing All Elite Wrestling to the 2019 New York Comic Con at tje Jacob Javits Center. Just two days after AEW's debut on TNT, there will be a panel discussion with AEW Champion Chris Jericho, Jon Moxley, Awesome Kong, Nyla Rose, Brandi Rhodes and Jungle Boy discussing the promotion and series on Friday 10/4 at 4:15 PM in Room 1A10. During his Starrcast panel over the weekend, Dean Malenko revealed he is battling Parkinson's Disease. Everyone at PWInsider.com wishes Malenko and his family the best. On his podcast, Chris Jericho noted that Kenny Omega and PAC were both upset as they ran out of time and didn't get to do everything they wanted in their match at All Out. It was also noted that the entire roster had their faces scanned for future usage, likely meaning video games or action figures. Jericho specifically noted he requested Aubrey Edwards to referee his match against Adam Page at the PPV. Malenko was the Producer for that match. Tool Guitarist Adam Jones was visiting backstage at All Out. Tickets for the 11/6 Charlotte TV Taping will go on sale this Friday. Killer Kross, Scarlett Bordeaux and Noelle Foley were in attendance at All Out. Last edited on Thu Sep 5th, 2019 03:50 pm by srossi ____________________ This thread was great before AA ruined it. |

Meltzer is reporting that there were two separate incidents involving Bea Priestly at All Out, and she appeared to be the victim both times. The first was on camera as Britt Baker delivered some really stiff shots to her during the pre-show women's battle royal. These were reportedly a receipt for Priestly giving her a concussion at Fight for the Fallen. The second was after Priestly returned to the backstage area and was attacked by Sadie Gibbs. No word on what that was about, but they argued and then Gibbs swung at her, leading to Matt Jackson having to physically separate them. So suffice it to say, Priestly, who is expected to be a big part of the women's division, has some locker room heat on her early.

Wrestlers be wrestlers I guess. The Khans can't be happy about all this carney bullshit going on though. I hope he knows what he's got himself into, or he'll be taking his money and going home soon.

Does anyone blame Baker for laying it in on Priestly after she knocked her out? Priestly tried (possibly succeeded) in getting Gibbs un-booked in Japan.

It's probably time to focus on the bigger picture and stop worrying about petty indy shit though. AEW seems to encourage petty shit on camera, so no surprise it happens in the back as well.

One wrestler giving stiff shots to another over the concussion incident seems like dated juvenile stuff, but if the parties involved consider it point made and case closed, so be it. If it lingers and fuels more incidents, that's another matter. The bit with Sadie Gibbs attacking Bea Priestly backstage is an offense worth of termination or at least a lengthy suspension. That sort of thing has to be red lighted immediately with consequences lest anyone else gets the idea this is acceptable conduct and there are future instances of this. Regarding Dean Malenko and Parkinson's, is it known when he was diagnosed? It could be a coincidence or hereditary, but the punishment his body took as a wrestler would suggest there's some sort of link given the numbers of football and hockey players who have had this disease. Was his decision to leave the WWE and go to AEW based on wanting a lighter schedule or perhaps superior health benefits, assuming Dean wasn't getting his health insurance via a spouse. Doug Furnas died of complications from Parkinson's Disease in 2012 and was lucky that his wife and now widow was and still is an executive with Geico. That meant health insurance was not an issue for Doug in the way that Brickhouse Brown died from untreated cancer when treatment could have extended or saved his life due to having no coverage and no way to therefore afford treatment.

FYI for those that don't know, Britt Baker is Adam Cole's wife.

pwinsider.com The Tallahassee Democrat featured an interview with Frank Price the man who found Chris Jericho's All Elite Wrestling World Championship belt sitting in the middle of a turn lane on Highway 20 near Capital Circle Southwest. Price said he and his wife were returning from scalloping with his friends on his birthday. They retrieved the scufffed bag, later opening it to discover the title belt on Sunday 9/2. After taking pictures with the belt, which he and his wife believed was a replica, Price placed a lost and found listing for it on Craigslist. On Wednesday morning 9/4, he was made aware of the attention given to the lost belt and contacted authorities. He was asked to bring the belt in and did so, turning it in. While at the Police Department, he ran into the owner of the limo company Chris Jericho had used, who gave him a $200 rewards for returning the belt. The timing of their meeting at the department and the reward led to authorities looking into Price's whereabouts when the belt disappeared and he produced GPS and receipts to show he was not near the Longhorn Steakhouse where Jericho reported the title belt stolen. “It’s pretty comical,” Price said. “It’s like the start for a great screenplay. This story could have gone in so many other funny directions. There are so many funny twists to it.” Price, who is not a wrestling fan, said that he doubted the belt was actually stolen.
