It's not their network any more.
Ok, I get that part. Does NBC has some sort of affiliation with TNT where it would want people to watch AEW on TNT?

Do they mention Dynamite or TNT at all? I think it's just that the interview was popular and people are probably searching for Chris Jericho, so they make it easier so they can get more eyeballs on the ads.

Jericho has been a special case for a number of years now. If it was Kenny Omega, that would be different.

They did highlight a few Kenny Omega matches in the “Hidden Gems” section when they were doing that, but that was before Dynamite because direct competition. But I don’t think it’s fair to say “It’s not their network anymore”.  NBC isn’t creating a section on there about “Jerichoholics” on their own, nor have they ever heard that word. WWE is just trying to generate as much interest as possible in the platform during this transition. Peacock’s subscriptions increasing is a lot more important to them now than anything else.

I think WWE are probably incentivised to get as much content watched as possible to get as many people as possible watching ads. So if people this week are interested in Chris Jericho, then they will push Jericho content. So in that respect, it's not their network. They are serving a higher master now.

According to Meltzer, though... WWE are crediting the big number that AEW did to the Austin interview, which talked very positively about AEW. McMahon realises that allowing the interview was a big mistake and AEW is now seen as real competition.

If that big number was boosted by a lot of new fans coming over from WWE, they saw a great show.

I think it's much more likely that they scored a big number because if was the first week unopposed and new viewers wanted to give it a shot.  Even with DVRs, 4 hours of wrestling on in one night is a lot and most people probably were making a choice before.  Chris Jericho's 5 minutes of AEW talk on a 2 hour show revolving around his WWE career is not going to make a huge difference.  Everyone knows who Jericho is and knew he was in AEW before.

WWF Superstars from early 1994 has been added, I remember watching it at the time and there's some good stuff. Hopefully they keep adding episodes because I enjoyed the Owen and Bret feud.

They had some '92 and '93 episodes on the Network. I don't remember any '94 episodes...so are these "new"?

Was it something Ernie Ladd or Johnny Valiant said? :) I guess they were on the first three eps.

Episode 3 has them both I think and that one was always there.  Perhaps one of the Peacock interns was watching the first two episodes and heard Ernie Ladd say "without a shadow of a doubt" 900 times and threw up all over the place, preventing him from uploading them originally.

The rain delay has been edited from this year's WM. The show now goes straight from Vince to the song to the opening match. No unscripted promos and no Samoa Joe in a poncho. Makes sense, I guess, but they should keep the original into as a bonus feature somewhere (they probably won't).

What's a bit stranger is they also edited out Mandy Rose's slip on the entrance ramp, because they have turned that into an angle now.

Stupid.  Those rain delay promos were the best promos WWE has delivered in 2 decades.

WWE Network News is reporting the following dates for upcoming coming to WWE Network for international viewers and Peacock in the US in May:

May 2nd – WWE Untold: Two Dudes With Attitudes.
May 9th – WWE Chronicle: Damian Priest.
May 11th – The Best of WWE: Wrestlemania Rematches.
May 16th – WWE Icons: Rob Van Dam.
May 17th – WWE Wrestling Challenge.
May 18th – The Best of WWE: Rob Van Dam.

This of course shows that the May 2021 Classic Content Drop looks to be more WWF Wrestling Challenge.

WWE officially announced the Untold with Two Dudes with Attitudes featuring Shawn Michaels and Kevin Nash on May 2

The long-delayed Damian Priest-WWE Chronicle, which was originally scheduled to be released back in March in conjunction with Fastlane, will now see a May 9 release.

There will be double RVD with the Icons documentary on May 16 with a compilation on the former WWE Champion on May 18.

This is not the only content being released next month. But the only confirmed so far.

Since I finally get to watch the WWE Network, how do they give access to old footage like All-Star Wrestling programs? Do they only show certain vintage footage monthly? Do they rotate older stuff?
