From the Observer site:

Ex-WWE Champion Big E is "officially" back on the SmackDown brand, according to WWE.

On Friday's episode of SmackDown, it was stated in a backstage segment with Kofi Kingston and Kayla Braxton that Big E was officially back on SmackDown. Big E and Kingston then teamed against Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss in a winning effort.

In a video released on WWE's YouTube channel and social media channels, interviewer Megan Morant also used the "officially back on SmackDown" verbiage in introducing Big E.

Big E and New Day stablemates Kingston and King Woods were originally split up in the 2020 WWE Draft, with Kingston and Woods being shifted to Raw and pushed as a tag team, while Big E remained on SmackDown as a singles competitor.

Big E would go on to win the Money in the Bank briefcase while still a member of the SmackDown roster, but cashed in on Raw's WWE Champion Bobby Lashley. He was then officially drafted to the Raw brand in the 2021 WWE Draft in October.

Big E dropped the WWE title to Brock Lesnar in a five-way match at the Day 1 pay-per-view on January 1. His last televised Raw match came on January 10, a loss to Seth Rollins.

Woods is currently out of action after suffering a torn plantaris.

Well this bakes me even more super interested in the next draft and of course the next Survivor Series, the one night of the year when Raw and Smackdown Superstars compete against each other except for every other night of the year.

The worst part of all this is that Big E is officially back in the mid-card after they made no effort to get him over as a credible champion or main eventer.

And I was digging him as champion too. The fans were ready to accept him. They had a good thing going with all members of The New Day over as singles and still able to come back together as a team from time to time. It was working. I guess that’s why it had to end.

At the end of the match, I don't believe they called them The New Day when announcing the winner.  I think they announced them as individuals.  Maybe that means they have initial plans to keep Big E as a single, at least until Roman smashes him.

Rejoice. WWE have a strong push planned for one of their new young superstars. Shane McMahon is scheduled to wrestle at both Elimination Chamber and WrestleMania. What a time to be alive.

So, Kevin Owens comes out on Raw for his talk show segment and agrees with the crowd when the boo his announcement about Bobby Lashley being the new champion, since Lashley is a heel.  In that moment, Owens comes off as a face.  Moments later when he's talking with Rollins, he pulls the chicken heel move of trying to get out of his qualifying match with Austin Theory.  Why is it so hard to figure out who the heels and who the faces are?

Vince, probably furious with Otis and his inability to spell, does a job to Riddle tonight on tv.  Otis has been very much protected from taking pinfall losses in the tag division for a long while now.  I'm wondering if he would be doing that job if he just could have spelled his word correctly.

I mean he was going to lose the match, and he has taking pinfalls already to randy, but he was dominate in the match and i like this new version of version of Otis kind of reminds me of 1992 Vader

I spent the entire segment trying to figure out if both Rollins and Owens had turned face or not and for the life of me couldn’t figure it out. Once the match started, it seemed like Owens was definitely the face, so I guess Rollins turned too?  I have no idea why WWE doesn’t think this fundamental part of wrestling for 70 years is important enough to spend some time on anymore.

It was an elimination chamber qualifying match though, so he wasn’t going to win.

Nia Jax revealed on Renee Young's podcast that she was also asked to return at the Royal Rumble while still being paid under the 90-day no-compete, and she refused.

She was asked if she was willing to return. There was a list being complied of former talents who were willing to come back. Then Vince picked from the list.

Agreed, but they easily could have DQ'd him or counted him out.  Spelling error = demotion, says Vince.

Johnny Knoxville and Sami Zayn ran an angle on the red carpet of the Jackass movie premiere last night so those two are a lock for WM.  The incident garnered a moderate amount of mainstream attention but nothing too big and I didn’t even hear about it for almost 24 hours, but I’m sure WWE is thrilled anyway.
