Impact has announced that they will be sending their Knockouts championship to the Flair PPV as Jordynn Grace will defend it against Deonna Purrazzo and Rachel Ellering. Obviously Ellering has been added as a nod to NWA history and I’m sure her father will be there.

They could try Ricky Morton. Not the most interesting match, but practically speaking he could try to carry Flair as best as possible since he’s been active every weekend.

I am quite surprised they didn't try to get King Lawler or Jeff Jarrett in being that it's Nashville. There's no way it's either of them or they would advertise it because locally those two can still draw a few people. Ric Flair vs Ricky Morton isn't even worth turning your head for. As a big Flair fan from the past, I won't be looking to watch this match no matter what happens because it will just encourage him to keep coming back until he dies in the ring.

Good call on Lawler vs Flair. That would be a pretty decent match up that hasn't been overdone. Steamboat, Sting, and Hogan are good opponents but the matches would be stale since they have fought Flair so many times over the years.

There is no way Hogan could work a match. He can barely walk right now. This is ludicrous really that we’re trying to figure this out and throwing out these names. LOL.

Jarrett is back with WWE and even though Lawler can accept indy dates it doesn’t apply to PPVs. His matches are blacked out for any indy that runs a iPPV. Of course if Flair hadn’t burnt every bridge he could’ve asked WWE for a favor that wouldn’t mean anything to them at all, but now WWE would tell him to fuck himself, as they should.

Wait, we were told originally it was Flair teaming with some tag team currently on the NWA tv show I think against The Rock and Roll Express and a mystery opponent right? Is that out? Is the main event a singles match now? Last edited on Fri Jun 24th, 2022 08:16 pm by dr_papufnik |

I don’t know why, there’s no explanation, but I’ve got an eerie feeling that the Flair match doesn’t take place. I have this feeling it’s going to be like the final Buddy Rogers match and they book it and sell tickets and Flair drops dead a week before from overexerting himself training for it. I believe Buddy was Flair’s age when he died and he was in a LOT better physical condition.
