Episode 2 is on Andy Kaufman. We’ve seen and heard it all before, except what was new for me was the announcement of his death on Memphis TV by Lance followed by Lawler staying in character basically saying “Sorry he died but I never liked him.” I never saw that clip before so that was pretty interesting.

So my question is what was the deal with Foxy? If the other women were legit, and they seemed to be, surely she was a plant. Lawler keeps kayfabe on this one and says she wasn’t, but they do real spots. Did she ever work anywhere else before or after?

On next week's TALES FROM THE TERRITORIES, jaw-dropping and insane stories from the glory days of the AWA featuring Diamond Dallas Page, Madusa, Jim Brunzell, Greg Gagne and Ken Patera.

DDP and Madusa missed the glory years, even the territory years, by a lot.  They’re names modern fans know so I get it, but not the best choices.

It’ll be the same-old same-old from the AWA crew, Greg with his super tall tales will dominate is my guess.

The only thing that has some intrigue is if they’ll talk about Patera’s McDonalds incident with Patera actually there, and maybe we get some insight from Ken himself. Every shoot I’ve ever seen where he’s been asked about it he gets almost violent about it even being asked.

Hard to think that wouldn’t be a topic.

Polls done on college campuses showed that Stan Kowalski and Igor Vodik wouldn't pop the ratings as much as they hoped.

You sure about that?  Stan Kowalski is making a push right now to become the #1 trending item on MySpace.

On Flair's podcast and someplace else, Patera now claims that he was at McDonalds, was pissed they wouldn't serve him, then a group of teenagers pulled up throwing rocks through windows hit the McDonalds and he and Saito got blamed for it. I hope he says the same thing on the Dark Side Tv show.

In the grand scheme of the AWA, the Patera incident isn't worth one extra minute of publicity, and Kenny hates the topic.   Ken and Brunzell are still somewhat close and I can see them talking about going through camp together and their battles for Verne and in Mid-Atlantic as part of their own career paths.  Verne will get the royal treatment here with 3 trainess from Class of '72 and two future stars Verne gave a foot in the door.  Without seeing the trailer, I sense I'll be disappointed compared to the Memphis episode.

Looking at a post on facebook on the dark side of the ring they do talk about the McDonalds incident

An accomplished Olympic weightlifter, Ken Patera’s desire to win led him to great success in the wrestling ring, but it was another type of craving that got him in trouble one night in Wisconsin   revisits the AWA, this Tuesday at 10pm on vice tv

On the show, it's one teenager who was mad about being fired.  He never saw him throw the rock, but it must've been him because he was the only other person there.  Okay.

Brunzell calls him out to his face and said, "I love you like a brother, but I do believe you may have been the one throwing the 33-pound boulder because there's not many people alive you could throw that 8 to 10 feet."

Patera insisted it wasn't a big deal for anyone to throw it and starts getting hot.  And then Madusa says he definitely did it.

But it wasn't so much the boulder that was the problem right? I think the things that got the pigs testy was him and Massa laying waste to their entire police department. If he would have let the cops take him in, he probably would have signed some autographs at the station house and been out by dawn. And no, I'm not saying "well if only he complied", just use a modicum of common sense.

It's obviously impossible to know what went down between drunken wrestlers and asshole cops.  Patera claimed they maced him for no reason and that's what started the fight.  He also claims he took out 10 of them with billy clubs by himself, which I doubt.  The cops might've come to the room that night looking for a fight, especially when they realized who they were talking to.  Or the wrestlers may have been drunk off their asses and just started swinging.
