El Olympico has posted a couple of clippings at KM and this caught my attention http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj308/dugaleer/3-30-63SanduskyOH.jpg The only items for Demore are these Charlotte, North Carolina: February 8, 1960 (Grady Cole Center) ... Don McClarity beat Duke Hoffman ... Steve Bolus beat Billy Hines ... (Ladies) Judy Grable beat Peggy Allen ... Tony Morelli and Two Ton Harris beat George and Sandy Scott ... Amazing Zuma beat Tony DeMore Sandusky, Ohio: October 15, 1951 Ferrenze Siksay beat Masked Falcon (dq) (Ladies) Adelia Antone beat Mae Weston Tugger Zeke beat Rip Hawk Referee: Tony DeMore Sandusky, Ohio: October 22, 1951 Masked Falcon and Rip Hawk beat Ferrenze Siksay and Tony DeMore Lone Eagle beat Satan Rococo (dq) Sandusky, Ohio: October 29, 1951 Rip Hawk beat Tony DeMore (utc) Tugger Zeke beat Masked Falcon (dq) Tony Delanti beat Steve Nenoff Sandusky, Ohio: November 5, 1951 Larry Chene beat Johnny Gates (dq) Tony DeMore beat Rip Hawk Billy Fox drew with Tony Dalenti Referee: Lefty Pacer Sandusky, Ohio: November 12, 1951 Lefty Pacer beat Rip Hawk (dq) (Ladies) Eva Lee beat Mae Young (Ladies) Carol Cook beat Terry Majors Referee: Tony DeMore Sandusky, Ohio: December 3, 1951 Len Hughes beat Martino Angelo (dq) Ed Gardinia beat Tugger Zeke Tom Bradley beat Tony DeMore (dq) Do you know anything else about this DeMore guy? Also, my rival site has conducted an interview with Len Kruger, which is quite good considering the fact that Germans have zero access to anything Len Kruger related. http://cagematch.de/?id=555&nr=804 Now he states that he was trained by the NWA Jr Champ Gypsy Joe. But I think that cannot be true as there was a Santos/North East Gypsy Joe (Rodriguez) active around 1980 (by the way, could he have been WWWF jobber Frank Rodriguez?). So my theory is Kruger was worked. What did Frank Dorsetti do after 1960 anyways? To me it seems he vanished. .....and to make things worse I remembered that I stumbled over these two items recently http://www.encyclopedia.com/doc/1P2-8113665.html http://news.google.com/newspapers?id=9goiAAAAIBAJ&sjid=pXIFAAAAIBAJ&pg=2995,4348035&dq=gypsy-joe&hl=en Just look for Gypsy Joe + Chelsea or + Joe Esposito. I think those two links are about the same guy. Anyways, somewhere, I can't remember where, I read that Gypsy Joe Gonzales was Tony Gonzales, whose real name was Atanacio H. Gonzales. So there were apparently two Gypsy Joe Gonzales if my theory is correct. Or can anyone point out why and how I am wrong (please do it or my brain will implode) Any help is appreciated. (I am also confused with our favorite Gypsy Joe and his alledged Jan Madrid gimmick which seems to me way too early... at least if I can believe Masanori Hories info that he debuted in 63 in the US) Why aren't there interviews out there with Hispanic WWWF undercarders...

Don't know too much about Tony DeMore other than he was a mainstay on the wrestling scene in Sandusky OH from the 1940's thru the 1960's. Articles that I have seen descibe him as a "popular referee", wrestling promoter and wrestler, appearing under his own name, as well as Gypsy Joe. He also owned and operated a Health Club in Sandusky, and was married to a lady wrestler, but I do not know what name she worked under. Here is a pic of DeMore from 1955: ![]()

Gypsy Joe Gonzales was not Tony Gonzales. Gilberto "Gypsy Joe" Melendez worked as Gene Madrid not Jan Madrid. He teamed with Jan as his brother. Melendez also worked as Pepe Figurero. There was also Isaac Rosario who worked as Gypsy Joe Rosario. Here are the various "Gypsy Joes": Dorsetti ![]() Gonzales ![]() Melendez ![]() Rosario ![]()

Ah, but is it the same "Pancho Valdez" who teamed with "Pedro Valdez" in Crockett's territory in the mid-sixties?

Wasn't there a Gypsy Joe Rodriguez that worked WWWF around the end of the 70's/early 80's in the NYC area?

I adressed that in my opening post. I think I need to get the Tom Brandi shoot interview, afaik he talked about him as he debuted against him. I started to look at the 50s articles for GJ and found these items http://news.google.com/newspapers?id=ynIxAAAAIBAJ&sjid=RRAEAAAAIBAJ&pg=7299,1722435&dq=gypsy-joe&hl=en Frank/Joe Dorsetti aka Carmine Ferdinando Muccioli ! (like Louie Spiccoli) The article is condescending enough to be legit. http://news.google.com/newspapers?id=oVQOAAAAIBAJ&sjid=lX8DAAAAIBAJ&pg=4633,4922933&dq=gypsy-joe&hl=en And here is a picture of his wife.

I'm wondering if DeMore was "Gypsy Joe Gonzales". I have a clearer news article pic of him that shows a tattoo on his left forearm, similar to the one in diamondmd's photo of Gonzales. I'll post it here later. Take a look and see what you think.

Judging from the tat and facial features, I'd say they are one and the same.

Dorsetti looks like the Gypsy Joe I remember seeing on Jim Crockett's tv shows in 1962.
