I know Backlund had a few matches in Japan for Maeda's promotion. One was against Takada. I probably can find listings for them if I use google.

Bob also wrestled on the independent scene prior to his WWF run in the 90s.

He wrestled for Maeda's UWF as well as BattleArts in Japan.  Those results probably aren't too hard to find.  The indy results will probably be more challenging.

I also have Backlund doing a tour of WAR in Japan in Aug.-Sep. '94 and winning the 6-Man titles there with Warlord and Scott Putski (talk about a bizarre team).

Also back in Dec. '84 he held an indy title for some company called the NEWF.

That's sad.  For about 2 months commission checks at the time, I could have booked Bob to fake wrestle in my backyard.

Anyone who says the Indies are an alternative is delusional.

Edit-I do look forward to anybody posting 1992-forward WWF results for Bob's return.

Thanks in advance!
Eric

Could be The "Newfy Entertainment & Wrestling Federation" in Newfoundland. JK:tongue:

What was the date of the Backlund Ivan Koloff match that was in '91 or '92? I've seen it on YouTubs a few months back. It was Herb Abrams UWF or something wasn't it?

backlund and andre on different teams.  cool.

Has anyone ever seen pictures or video of this match, or heard anything more about it? Backlund locking up with Andre sounds quite interesting.
