Awesome additions. I added several results to my record books for the Butcher, Robinson and Hennig. Larry had the St. Cloud connection so I am happy for these findings.

One correction to the archive here guys... 10/11/86 Palmetto, FL @ Manatee Civic Center Sgt Slaughter beat Boris Zhukov AWA Champion Nick Bockwinkel beat Larry Zbyszko Tyree Pride beat The Ninja Bugsy McGraw beat Sheik Adnan COR Jim Halee beat Colonel DeBeers Scott Williams beat Bobby Jay Att: 3,000 Note: The promotion was billed as a joint effort of the AWA and International Championship Wrestling. Video for a good chunk of this card has surfaced. In researching the results here I noticed this card is listed twice, once on 10/11/86 and again on 11/11/86. The listing I have for the video has the card dated at 11/11/86. I don't know if that's right or not as the matches appeared on shows broadcast in November, so October might make more sense for the show to have happened to give the tape time to get put into the TV. I don't know the answer exactly, but I do know the card is listed twice. ![]()

In that time frame the AWA was partnering with the ICW group in an attempt to help each other out in several markets. It was I assume short lived although the combination of groups drew a nice house in Palmetto Florida in October or November of 1986. Not sure why it fell apart.

Forgive me for asking this question if it has been asked and answered before. I may even have been the one to do so. The AWA ran a card in conjunction with some locals in Hawaii in late 1986 or early 1987. It wasn't the Maivia group as best can be told. The results turned up in The Wrestler. I have the copy boxed up somewhere or another. Does anyone have the results and the background to how this card came to take place? Regarding that Florida card, one of the Apter Mags made some cryptic references to the card and Boris Zhukov being associated with another Russian, maybe Chris Markoff but definitely not Soldat Ustinov at least by that name. It was treated as canon by the magazine which wondered how it would tie into the Smirnoff-Gordienko team that was on the scene by then, but AWA TV made no mention of it and neither did the magazines in a month or so.

1/30/77 Minneapolis, MN This card at Minneapolis Auditorium had a 3:00 PM bell time. For what it's worth, in a brief sports page write up in the previous day's Minneapolis Tribune, Vaziri was billed as The Iron Sheik rather than by his own name. Another brief write up the following day noted that Lord James Blears was special guest referee for the Lanza and Duncum vs. Hennig and Stevens main event.

I found information on the card in Hawaii with AWA guys from 1986 that was referenced a few posts up. It was officially put on by the Hawaii International Promotion with Neff Maiava listed as promoter. Here is the lineup: October 16, 1986 - Hawaii Ballroom in the Sheraton Waikiki - Honolulu 1. Jimmy Snuka vs. Colonel DeBeers 2. Rocky Johnson vs. Buddy Rose 3. The Midnight Rockers vs. The Blonde Bombers Bell time was 7:00 PM and the hotel provided validated parking to those coming for the event. Other matches were promised, including a battle royal. Fans were told to watch wrestling every Saturday on KMGT-26 from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM. The Blonde Bombers were not identified by name or shown in a photo. My gut says one of them was Dusty Wolfe.
