Since Graham didnt make the trip this far north, I am wondering if he went to El paso or Albuquerque, NM. Both are far from Amarillo and Lubbock. So I got my fingers crossed for Odessa which I will start next.

Great research as always, Ron.

I would guess that your most fruitful searches will be in the other towns promoted by Jerry Kozak. Hereford on Saturdays and Clovis on Sundays. Also possibly Plainview on Saturdays.

Jerry Kozak was promoting El Paso by this time, but not weekly. It's possible he wrestled there though. If you find him if/when you look at Abilene, you might also find him in San Angelo, since these were both Don Slatton towns.

Have you ever seen a advertisement box or write up in the Abilene newspapers for the time period I research in? Late October 1979 through January 1980 I attempted that one years ago when I got the Amarillo stuff. I could not find anything at all.

I know Odessa for the 27th of November 1979 is a solid guaranteed date.

November 27, 1979 Odessa, TX
JJ Dillon beat Barry Windham
Gino Caruso, Gary Young & Don Slatton beat JJ Dillon, Super Destroyer & Gypsy Joe

That is where I will start at next. To my knowledge Odessa was running weekly.

When did they run at San Angelo? Was it on weekends? monthly or just totally hit and miss?

I've just checked, and Don Slatton didn't have a good relationship with Murdoch & Mulligan. From 1979, he seemed to book his own cards using some talent from the Amarillo undercard and the rest from Dallas. His title was the World Chainfighting Title.

I have the monthly Oct, Nov and Dec 1979 Abilene cards. No Billy Graham there.

San Angelo is a complete black hole with regard to results. It's never been researched and has never been on an internet archive. It's unlikely Graham wrestled there if he didn't appear in Abilene.

For Odessa, I have Oct 30 and Nov 13. No Graham there. I don't have anything after that. Graham could appear in later, though, since M&M directly promoted Odessa after ousting Pat O'Dowdy as promoter. Odessa was running bi-weekly rather than weekly, I believe.

By the way... I have Adolph Montana and Ricardo Cortez on a couple of cards from September 1972 in Las Vegas, NM. They promoted by Pete Baca as Rocky Mountain Wrestling Enterprises.

I've heard there was an outlaw that ran in New Mexico and Colorado. I assume this is it.

I will see what I can find out about the November 27, 1979 Odessa card then. That would have been the week that Graham came into the territory for M&M. It also fall under the every two weeks for a event.

Thanks for all the extra information.
