I saw on the old school match results section of Kayfabe Memories that a Claude Patterson appeared on a few AWA cards in December 1964 and january 1965? Was this Thunderbolt(Clyde) Patterson?

Yep it certainly was Thunderbolt Patterson.

No he had not. He was still Claude Patterson in East Texas during late 1965 and early 1966. By mid 1966, he is Thunderbolt Peters in San Francisco. So maybe San Fran is the first place he used the Thunderbolt gimmick.
