Damn shame. I've been up that way a couple of times, and the main thing that I remember about Johnstown is how narrow the Streets were. The last time was about 4 years ago, and the Town was in really bad shape.

This is where I grew up and the town has shrunk from 100,000 to like 23,000 and I am surprised they held on to the team so long.  Its a good town that is crumbling from the lost of the stel mills and manufacturing (used to be a large producer of bras amoung other things)  streets are very narrow and hilly. I hoped to go back to seea final game but no luck.  Rumor is a newleague is trying to place a team there.

For a second there I thought the Kansas City Chiefs were going to Mexico.  The Chilpancingo Chiefs has a nice ring to it.

I was a season ticket holder in the hey dayof the mid to late 1970's.  Reg kent, Gene peacosh, Ron Docken, Galen Head, Guido Tenesi and Jimmy Coombs are well entrenched in my memory.  I was there for the debut of the Crlson Brothers (Hansens in the movie)  was there when they won the cup of whatever it was called.  I can remember Radio announcer Frank Dell with tissue stuffed up his nose to make a weird sound when we scored a goal.

This is my mom's hometown also. Just like the movie, the Chiefs were all the town really had going for it.
