If there was one game, trade, or event in sports history that you could change or reverse, what would it be?

Mine would be game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals in 1987 Philly vs Edm.

A close 2nd would be game 7 of the 2000 Blazers vs Lakers series. As a Blazers fan, that was a TOUGH loss.

Mitch Williams striking out Joe Carter in the 1993 World Series would have been nice

Brett Favre throwing that interception last year in the playoffs vs the Saints

or

having Drew Pearson fall down instead of catching the hail Mary vs the Vikings in the 70's

Leafs vs Kings game 7 in 1993 semifinal. Leafs win and go on to play the Habs in the Stanley Cup final.

you wish!

"Leafs vs Kings game 7 in 1993 semifinal. Leafs win and go on to play the Habs in the Stanley Cup final."

This is what I immediately thought of.

Calvin Schiraldi dies in a horrible and painful kitchen accident prior to Game 6.

Barring that, Buckner cleanly fielding that goddamned squibber and Slow-as-Molasses Bob Stanley getting over to first in time to make the out.

Without a doubt Mariano Rivera throwing away Damian Miller's bunt in the 9th inning of Game 7 of the 2001 World Series.

The Duke-UCONN National Championship game in 1999...that Duke team was LOADED, it was a GIVEN that they would win that title, and they blew it, to this day that game still stings. That said, a LITTLE bit of the pain was taken away last year when they won it all and I wasn't expecting that from that team...but still, Duke deserved that title in 99 damnit..

Joe Montana NOT leading the 49ers down the field in the final minutes of Super Bowl XXIII.

A close second would be Kenyon Martin NOT blowing his ACL in 2000 during the Conference USA tournament.  The Bearcats were the top team in college basketball that year and never stood a chance once he went down with the injury.

1975 FA Cup semi-final.

Change the score around.  Birmingham City in the final, in our centenary year.  Against a piss-poor West Ham.  Surefire win on the cards, European football, no panic sacking of Freddie Goodwin, no panic sale of key players by idiot new boss, we could have moved on to something gigantic.

As it is, we're merely the best-supported football club in the world that's never won the League or Cup.

Close second would be the 1956 Cup Final.

USC not winning the 2003 and 2005 BCS National championship games ...

wait a minute ... they didn't even play in the game in 03 because of a chump schedule and having one less win than OU or LSU and they got beat by Texas in 05 .. so what were those ESPN specials claiming 3-peat about?  How was that such a special "once in a generation" team when Miami had an almost identical run in the years immediately preceeding that (with even more NFL players)?

I want to take that Derek Fisher miracle shot back that beat the Spurs in '04.  NOW we have a chane at a real 3-peat!

The 1972 US Olympic basketball team being screwed out of the Gold Medal.

Ray Leonard "beating" Marvin Hagler.  Pissed me off then, still aggravates me to this day.

Nobody will remember or care about this except me, but the referee keep the flag in his pocket instead of calling Ray "Sugar Bear" Hamilton for roughing the passer in the 1977 Raiders - Patriots playoff game.  Horseshit phantom call which gave the Raiders the game.  I HATED the Raiders back then.

And in my dream world, George Foreman knocks out Muhammad Ali, but that may be just me.
