I'm already fed up of hearing about him.  He's single-handedly made the Knicks relevant again for a week and a half though.  Seriously, there was NO discussion in NY on the Knicks for years before Lin.  The Rangers have been more popular.

He's averaging 26.8 points and 8.5 assists per game over this six-game winning streak.  The sample size is too small to make a declaration one way or the other, other than he has been very good over this stretch.

The kid appears to have legit game.  Certainly not a media creation.

Lin is on a roll right now. It will be interesting to see if Jeremy can mesh with the black hole Carmelo Anthony when Melo returns from injury.

Lin still has to prove to me he can sustain this level of play over the long haul. I've seen so many players from every sport have careers weeks, months and years. I've also seen a shitload of one year wonders.

Great story but I'm not a believer yet.

Are we living in the same city? Because I have absolutely no clue what you're talking about. Even when the Knicks were losing game after game at 8-15 they had triple the coverage of the Rangers who still can't even make it to the back page of any of the local papers. The Knicks have had tons of coverage mostly negative for years.

Lin has proved his ability on every level of basketball from high school to college to summer league to the d league he has played well on every level. A lot of people thought he had NBA level talent even before he played for the Knicks it's just the fact that the was Asian that has always had people doubting him. The question to me is not whether he can sustain his play it's whether Amare and Melo can play well with him instead of going back to their old style of play which held down the entire team because it's not just Lin who's playing well now but Jeffries, Novak, Fields, and Shumpert who are also excelling.

This is pretty much how I feel.

It's the feel-good story the NBA hasn't had in ages. It's one it definitely needed after the lock out.

When he's done this for a season or two, I'll say he's got game.

Until then, he's just the latest fad.

Ironically, I heard on the radio the other day that it was Carmelo that was pushing for Lin to play. I don't know if that was when he got hurt in the Nets game or before that, but that's pretty interesting.

If nothing, he's been exciting to watch, and makes me want to watch the Knicks. He's the right type of PG for D'Antoni's system and he's gotten of to the best start of any player in his first 5 starts since the ABA merger. That's pretty amazing.

Stoudemire will love plaing with him. We'll see about Carmelo. I'm reserving judgment on that until I can see if he can make the sdjustments to thrive in this offense with this type of PG. I'm assuming he will be able to because he's a professional.

I think Jeremy Lin's rise is a lot of fun because the fans are so into it and it was so unexpected. Even if he can't sustain this All-Star level run, he's shown he can play in the NBA and will have a long career.

This is very true-I read the NY papers online daily.

And the funny thing is, it's such an out-of-nowhere story that I have started following the Knicks again just to see if he can keep it up. It's awesome that he's not one of these overpaid douches that the Dolan's keep acquiring.
