Giants make a splash by getting a good young DE from Miami for a lot of cash (Olivier), an excellent DT in Damon Harrison of the Jets, re-signed JPP below market, and completely overpaid for the wrong Rams CB (Janoris Jenkins) which I hope I am wrong about. They paid Jenkins more than anyone at the position except for Revis, and he's likely not in the top 20.  It's like Byron Maxwell all over again.

The Giants D line looks much better. Now they need to draft something called LINEBACKERS and a couple more guys for the D (DE, Safety, Slot CB) and a WR to put opposite Beckham since Cruz hasn't played in two years and there's basically nobody else.  The OL would be nice to add to since we need a RG and RT.

In other words, we're a long-shot to have a good year next year again!

I liked Jags getting Chris Ivory, Forte to the Bears (thought for certain he'd be a Pat) and Bruce Irvin to the Raiders. Raiders are getting good.

Isn't really an long shot.  They were 6-10 with the statistically last ranked defense last year.
Look at their defense now as opposed to last year with their pickups.  Is it better?  That's all that matters.
BTW, Jenkins cap hit next year is real low then averages out to 10-12 million per.
Vernon's cap hit is 29 million next year.  Then he's only guaranteed 25 million over the last 4 years.
Actually, not a bad job of structuring these deals by Resse.  He's overpaying in a year where they have 60 million, including 11 million in carryover money from last year that you believe they had to use this year.

Good points. We need a bunch more though and once Reese gets through rounds 1 & 2 he sucks.  Marc Ross should be shitcanned still.
