I watch part of this thing every year. The overnight acts get worse every year. We just had some annoying ass tap dancers followed by an Ethel Merman impersonator. No, I am not making that up. Jerry no longer does the overnight, it's Richard Beltzer and John "YOU GO NOW" Pinette. Anyone else still watch this shit?

I remember staying up all night and watching this, when I was younger, because it had big names and you did not know who was going to show up. I remember staying up all night to watch this, and I missed it at some time during the night. This was a classic moment.

It was actually better this year than it has in a while in terms of having performers on that anyone has heard of. They've probably gone from Z list to at least C-, which is a step in the right direction. I think the biggest problem is that Jerry's too out of touch with the crowd he wants to attract and once everyone he was friends with died, he seems to have no idea who to book on his show other than Vegas acts. It's also kind of sad how most stations don't even start showing the telethon until after the 11pm news.

We don't even get it locally until Monday morning at lie 8 am. They don't like giving up the infomercials on the overnights.
