HALL OF FAMER
I don't read historical fiction, so I don't really know about this guy. Guess he's written whole series of novels about a character named Richard Sharpe, a rifleman during the Napoleonic Wars that also got turned into some TV movies in England.
Well I guess my nephew up in Toronto, who does some kind of rifle guard shit at Old Ft York (This is a pic of him and the guard) intrigued this guy Cornwell, so he's now going to start a new book series based on him.
Such a random reference because I never heard of this guy before and then on Friday I was reading in the cafeteria at work and someone came up to me and introduced himself because he's also an avid reader and said that he always sees me reading every day, and more often than not something with a historical bent. We wound up talking for 45 minutes and in our conversation he recommended Bernard Cornwell and told me I'd love his books. So he's on my list now.
This thread was great before AA ruined it.
