I received an email from Amazon that I have received free storage because of a recent order for a Mohu Antenna (about $150). One thing I've heard about Amazon from an enterprise/business perspective is that it's difficult to get your data back once you've put it there.
Has anyone else gotten this offer and taken advantage of it?
Has anybody used AWS for cloud storage on a personal level?
We just had this discussion in a thread a couple weeks ago. I would never use a private company to store data. Companies go out of business all the time and I don't care protections they say are in place, I wouldn't trust them. Wouldn't trust them for privacy reasons either because when the government comes knocking, they'll sell you out in a heartbeat just like all the telecoms did. There are so many other options anyway, and memory is pretty cheap these days.

This thread was great before AA ruined it.
