If he doesn't beat it tonight he needs to be physically removed. There's no doubt he's not going to do anything further, but this is a joke.

He needs to drop out. Without Cruz, there no need to remain in.

Whats sad is that I would have probably voted for him in November.

He seemed to be a reasonable candidate but proved to be an establishement puppet and troll.

Your Regan avatar makes me think about how moderate he seems compared to what most of the Republicans were in the primary. He would be considered a rino.

Kasich is a puppet up for sale. He went after collective bargaining and other things on the Koch agenda. Kasich will make decisions based on who gives him the biggest check. He is a Pittsburgh native, and seriously, I never thought of him as the sharpest knife in the drawer. Nothing original. Jumped on hot topics with no resolutions. He does not come off as confrontational as others, but he follows the same bullshit.

Ronnie had governmental experience.  Trump only knows how to declare bankruptcy, preen for the camera, and talk "tough".  Reagan actually knew how to lead, compromise, and cooperate.   I didn't like him all that much either but he was better than anything  the Republican side has had to offer lately.

The GOP started going batshit crazy in the early '90's when they started that anti-establishment rhetoric, the Contract With America, the rise of Limbaugh and the heavy awakening of the evangelical influence in the party.    The party has been spiraling down the shitter ever since.  They finally got Congress and the White House and fucked things up even more.

The evangelical strain of the party is what killed it and that started happening under Reagan and was one of the reasons he ignored the AIDS crisis.  Bush Sr. actually tried to fight back against it and it's one of the reasons he was a one-term president.  There was a LOT of discord within his administration and a lot of power struggles.  All of the people who couldn't manipulate the father played the son like a fiddle and the party never recovered from GW.  It's looking more and more like when we look back at the GOP in 50 years, we'll be able to point to GW as the one who basically caused the party to split.  I said this at the time and people laughed and said it would never happen and he wouldn't be remembered so badly as time went on.  From the rise of the Tea Party to Trump, it's all a direct result of GW's incompetence and his ideals that strayed so far from traditional conservative politics.

Yeah, it was during the Reagan years that things started going toward the fringe when it came to mixing politics with religion.   But, there were still some semblance of political sanity and compromise.   When Clinton got into office, the divine intervention of the evangelical movement began a fast track of righteousness.  The ball was then tossed to Dubbya, and American politics hit an all-time low with "compassionate conservatism".  Corrupt practices and deals, trigger words for religious false prophecies, nonsensical wars, just a complete and utter train wreck.

That would make Kasich one of the great political hypocrites.

It would fit the 2016 field though, considering so far the only two that I am aware of who have not gotten behind Trump after dropping are Bush and Fiona.  I give it about another couple weeks and Bush will be the only former candidate not getting behind Trump.
