Fucking Rutsey! The cameraman (woman?) films him during the "Before & After" kick and that's my fave song on the first album.  It must be a chick who was doing him because that's just bizarre.

Laura Secord (née Ingersoll; 13 September 1775 – 17 October 1868) was a Canadian heroine of the War of 1812. She is known for having walked 20 miles (32 km) out of American-occupied territory in 1813 to warn British forces of an impending American attack. Her contribution to the war was little known during her lifetime, but since her death she has been frequently honored in Canada. Though Secord had no relation to it, most Canadians associate her with the Laura Secord Chocolates company, named after her on the centennial of her walk.

Vince is right, Canadians are fucking weird.  Get your babyfaces and heels right, Canada!

This a little later on, with Neil, but thought if you haven't heard it HBF, that you would like it.
Song is called GARDEN ROAD, and wasn't released on any album.
On their R40 tour, which was done in reverse chronological order (so cool), they ended the show playing this riff.
Geddy's shrieking is at an all time best here. LOVE IT.

it's a travesty that Rutsey wasn't inducted into the HOF with Rush..

I know I'm in the vast minority here but to me, this is the best period on the Rush timeline. Everything up to and including All the Worlds a Stage is heavy, straight ahead rock and roll and fit in perfectly with its time. Once they got to Farewell to Kings I lost interest. Obviously the world thought differently and so as I type this Geddy Lee is fucking a 19 year old Thai hooker on a mattress full of money and me.......well I'm typing on the Beej Board.

No, don't be silly. Rutsey played on their first couple albums, was integral in getting the band started and honestly, the fact that he plays on "Working Man" should have gotten him the nod just on that..he meant way more to Rush than Pete Best ever did to the Beatles..

I wouldn't say it's the best but it's just as good as anything else they ever did..which is why I think he should have gotten into the RnR HOF with the other "classic" 3...

Sorry. I was talking about the band as a whole from 1974 through 1976 not just with Rutsey. BTW, Rutsey only played on the debut album. Peart came in on Fly By Night.

my bad, I could have sworn he played on 2 albums..either way, love that debut..

If Mark Trujillo gets in with Metallica then Rutsey sure should be in with Rush..

As long as Gary Cherones and One-tone Sammy Hagar never get in with Van Halen, I'm good.
