Just saw this over at my brokerage page. The whole market is getting destroyed today. My only benefit is that the Oracle Deal with Cerner went through last Wed, so all my shares were sold to them at $95/share and I'm not getting pulled down today with that portion of my accounts.

I have a friend who is always talking about this online and everytime there is a rough period he goes quiet. Not a peep.

Things seem to be going not to well

Any opinions from the crypto crowd here?

No choice at this point. Not much left to lose, but I really have no doubt Bitcoin and Ethereum will bounce back. Some of the small coins are definitely going to zero though.

Does the crypto contagion affect any other aspects of the markets?

We’re getting a nice bounce-back the past few days, even though I don’t think the worst is over. I’m almost ready to buy the dip soon.

ETH went up to $1,800 over the summer but has settled back down around $1,300 recently. Am I wrong in thinking now would be a good time to buy? I think the US and Europe are going to have a rough winter economically. srossi, if that happens do you think it will help or hurt crypto?

It doesn’t seem to matter. As Quattro correctly pointed out a while ago, it’s following the stock market now. That could change again, but right now it’s not acting as the hedge against a bad economy that I hoped it would. I’m holding and not even thinking about buying more or selling at this point. I’m just earning interest or staking or whatever is available. There are some also thinking that ETH will flip Bitcoin, but I wouldn’t hold my breath on that either.

It is really perplexing. Until there is some true utility finally realized, I think it will stay in this pattern, unless some other event pumps excess liquidity into the world and it needs a place to go.

I have thought a lot about the crypto trade. Where did the “money” go?

What do you mean by "flip"?  That it will become the premier crypto, displacing BTC?

Yes, that it will become higher priced and drive the crypto market instead of the other way around. I doubt it though.

It is almost impossible to predict changes in the cryptocurrency market. People become millionaires after a random cryptocurrency rises sharply in the price for no obvious reason. However, if you want to be a real crypto analyst, you need to simultaneously monitor the real estate market, politics, and even memes. I am transferring some of my assets to https://merchant.cryptex.net/en, and I am testing different software. My portfolio is enough to trade without risks, even during a crisis. But in finance and cryptocurrency, you can never be sure of winning.

Can you explain this?

Yes, that would be delightful for the board - please explain this in full Mr. First Post...
