It's strange to look back two years and remember how the media flipped out about the rare occurrence (at that time) of someone catching Covid a second time. Now, we just get the requisite "I'm grateful for the robust protection provided by my injections" tweets. And no one dares ask the question, "is repeated infection a by-product of taking these shots?"

Someone in the medical/scientific community probably is in fact asking those questions as well they should. While I did take one shot (J&J), I have been more hesitant about all these other boosters. I know it seems difficult for some people to understand but it is possible that the concerns over the initial COVID wave were legit because an assload of people were in fact getting really sick and dying AND since pharmaceutical corporations never miss out on a chance to fleece the masses, it was overblown.

Yes, and having a virus that wears off so much that you need 4 in a year is a nice bonus too.

I was talking to an acquaintance this weekend who came down with a nasty case of the coof two weeks ago. Fully jabbed, of course. Anyway, she talked about how at home (where she locked herself in her room and did the meals-left-outside-the-door thing) she wore a mask 24/7, including sleep, taking it off only to shower, and that's why her husband and daughter didn't catch it from her. She went back to work last Monday but by Wednesday they told her to go home and take the rest of the week off because she was still presenting symptoms. So she tells me at that point she relented on the mask wearing and almost instantly felt much better, as if she could breath again. And yet, she still believed the mask did what she wanted it to do. When confronted with this level of idiocy all you can do is nod along and try to steer the conversation in another direction.

A lot of people are brainwashed and have forgotten basic logic. Of course, many people never had much common sense to begin with but I know intelligent people who have come out with similar nonsense to your acquaintance. Although your example is extreme i have almost the same story about the wife of one of my good friends.

Inflated infection rates and/or mortality rates? We're talking public records and medical info to boot. If that's your arguement then you're advancing a concept that to me gets close to tinfoil hat conspiracy theory material.

How were mortality rates recorded? In this country if you had covid and died it was down as a covid death. That included if you died in a car accident, if you were murdered, if you had terminal cancer, if you had a heart attack, if you died due to auto-erotic asphyxiation gone awry, if you tested positive for Covid it was a covid death. We have recorded over 7000 covid deaths here. A recent freedom of information request to (I think) the Central Ststistics Office asked how many of these death certificates listed ONLY covid as the cause of death. It was under 200. In the UK at one point of you EVER had covid and then died at any point afterwards that was counting as a covid death. That should have been a scandal and wasn't (the figures were corrected when it was reported in a newspaper). Different countries (and probably different states) recorded things differently. Much of the data was not detailed enough and reporting of data in the media was generally terrible (switching metrics depending on the day of the week, nebulous language, etc.) There are definitely question marks over a lot of the data on infections and deaths. And that's without even suggesting any conspiracy. Last edited on Thu Jun 16th, 2022 12:44 pm by Jim_Irish |

Ringo had to postpone tour dates because band members have covid. Hugh Jackman had to cancel Broadway play dates because he has covid.
