Looking for some recommendations of things to do in in St Louis. My daughters soccer team advanced to the U15 national championship semifinals/finals which are going down next week in St Louis. We won’t have a lot of extra time but should be able to check out a few things. I think we have to see the arch and probably try some bbq but other than that I’m not sure what else to do. I eventually would like to do St. Louis and Kansas City so I’d be interested in hearing about this too, other than the Arch and the Negro League HOF.

We stayed one day in St. Louis. Not a whole lot to add here. Definitely check out a Cardinals game and Ballpark Village. We went to the Arch and got some photos. Had a good pizza from Pi Pizzeria downtown (within walking distance of the hotel), but checking online now I’m not sure they’re back open after Covid. We had to pick something up at the mall west of downtown, and it was a pretty nice ride to go out there and have lunch. Some really fancy neighborhoods west of the city. Years ago I had gone to St Louis and went to Union Station, which was sort of a downtown shopping/dining place. Not sure if that’s still a thing or if it’s gone to hell.

I visited St. Louis about 20 years ago and went up in the Arch. It was the only time in my life where I had a bout of claustrophobia and a legitimate fear of getting stuck in it.

You guys better never get MRI's. As far as STL goes, the Zoo is pretty decent. All my trips there for work in the past ended up with me and coworkers on the East St Louis Side hitting Miss Kitty's

The Arch has THE best lifts, they're like portaloos but go up diagonally. The best burger I've ever had was in St Louis. The Big Muddy at Sugarfire. There's a UNESCO site nearby, but unless you're deep into Injun history, it's probably going to be disappointing - loads of prehistoric mounds (Cahokia).
