The Kovalchuk situation warrants watching, as I've read it could send a precedent to the Russians currently on NHL rosters that "retirement" is the key to breaking their NHL contract to return to Russia.

I thought most Russians liked the tri-state area. There were a ton of early 90's immigrants who basically took over sections of Brooklyn so maybe I had a different view. Maybe I'm just a homer and think the USA rules.
