It was against North Carolina actually.

Buckner's error wasn't in game 7, though.  That one play didn't cost them the Series, and the wild pitch prior to Buckner's error was far more costly.  IIRC Bob Stanley's wild pitch gave up a run, and moved the tying and winning run into scoring position.  Then the ball went through Buckner's legs.

If not for the WP Buckner's error would have left the Sox up by one,or at worst tied.
