Wasn't the Destroyer more famous in Japan?Yes and no. From his debut in 1962 until 1965 he was the number one heel in the Los Angeles WWA territory. He was head booker for Mike Lebell taking over from Mr. Moto in 1973 where he had a great year. Personally I kind of lump in both of Beyer's masked men together and would pile on Dr. X right in with the Destroyer which would give him about three more great years as a top heel in the AWA.
