But the violence at the end was the entire payoff of the movie..everything you saw before was a build up for just that scene..and why it was basically a "Once upon a time..." kind of movie. Like I said, I knew why it was there, but it did not work for me.  That violence was building during the entire movie....nah....I did not see or feel that.  Maybe for Dalton.  No cheering in my theater.  You knew who was going to win. 😀😀😀  There was no surprise there.  The change history part was the thing that I keyed on or a “what if” the Manson crowd would have went to the wrong house.  That angle worked for me in regards to a plot.  I think there was also some connection between the injuries that occurred to the Manson tribe and what was said earlier in the movie.
