The Rams went 13-3 and made the Super Bowl in 2018. There were huge expectations for 2019 and for 2020 too, regardless of what happens this season. So far the Rams are 3-3 in 2019. They have a new 70,000 seat stadium opening in 2020 with very expensive seat licenses and season tickets. They need to get this thing turned around immediately. The offense is out of sorts with Goff looking shaky with as many INTs as TD passes while getting sacked 4 or 5 times per game, not to mention Todd Gurley carrying injuries. That the Rams have lost 3 in a row after a 3-0 start is not on the offense alone. The defense has a rep for making big plays, but last year let in a ton of points and this year just gave up 105 points during the ongoing 3 game skid.

The Rams want to win this year and next year to fill that new stadium and get further embedded in the Los Angeles sports scene. It was a lot to give up for Jalen Ramsey, but he already has two All Pro seasons to his credit and turns 25 in a week and a half or so. At least it was for a young guy in his prime and if the team manages the cap correctly, it can withstand missing out on those early picks and get the free agents it needs to fill need spots.
