100% true.

People want to feel like they’re part of a club, especially if things aren’t good at home or with their finances. Religion used to fill that void and I thought that was dangerous. This sort of political extremism on both the right and left has replaced religion for many, and somehow it’s worse. 

This thread was great before AA ruined it.
