It's always subjective and based on your nostalgic memories and what was going on in your life at the time.  Every decade has its pluses and minuses.  The '80s is my childhood and I loved it.  All the negatives of it still bring back warm and fuzzy memories.  I love seeing the dirty, graffiti-defaced trains in NYC back then even though it wasn't really pleasant to live through.  By the time the late '90s came, I was only in my early 20s and already nostalgic for the '80s and thinking that I missed all the good shit.  Now all these years later, I'm nostalgic for the '90s and think back to all the cool shit that was going on then that I didn't fully appreciate.  An entire generation is going to think the 2010s were awesome in another 20 years even though it seemed culturally to be like shit to me.

This thread was great before AA ruined it.
