My sweet spot for wrestling is basically '84 to '89. It leans a bit either way out of the range, but I'll be happy collecting as many dvds or blu-rays from that era and will be content from here on out without ever watching anything else.

Music and movies are pretty solid from that era too and hold up well. You had Die Hard, Home Alone, and the original Keaton Batman movie on the tail end, and Empire and Return of the Jedi, ET, Raiders, etc on the front end. Breakfast Club, Ferris Buehler, Ghost Busters, Top Gun, Back to the Future, Beverly Hills Cops,... my god, just listing these out. How many good movies like this have there been since 2010?

So many great 80s songs to pick from when you get away from the Madonna shit. U2, Van Halen, Phil Collins, Def Leppard, Hall & Oates, Mellencamp, Bon Jovi, Stevie Winwood, even stuff from Prince and George Michael.

If anything, the 80s are underrated.
